Recycling is useful because old materials can become new products. But recycling is not the first step. It is often better to reduce waste and reuse things first.
Students can reduce waste by bringing reusable bottles, boxes, and bags. They can reuse clean containers. They can also sort paper, bottles, and cans correctly.
Different places have different recycling rules. A student should check local rules before throwing things into a recycling bin. Wrong items can make recycling harder.
Mia's class starts a recycling team. Every Friday, two students check the classroom bins. They make signs for paper, bottles, and general trash.
At first, some students put food waste into the bottle bin. The team does not get angry. They make a simple poster with pictures and English words.
After one month, the classroom has less trash. The teacher says, 'Good habits are built by small actions.' Mia is happy because her class is changing together.
