Lesson Overview

This free GEPT elementary handout helps students practice reading short everyday texts and answering basic comprehension questions.

Students read about transportation, lunch at a cafe, and making plans with friends. Each topic includes useful vocabulary and oral practice.

Teaching Notes

Start with vocabulary pronunciation, then ask students to read the passage silently once and aloud once.

For speaking practice, students can change the place, time, price, or food item in the dialog to make a new conversation.
